I am the Bread of Life
I am the Bread of Life
As this is my last newsletter post as Parish Priest of St Joseph’s I would like to take the opportunity to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has made this Parish such a wonderful community of faith. You have taught me so much of what it is to be a Pastor and Priest. Not that com-munity life is plain sailing even in the Church. But if we keep our eyes fixed on the Lord and together we move forward. If we keep our eyes on Christ then we do not have to be fixated about the shortcomings of ourselves or those around us.

There are so many people who I should thank for their support over the past twenty years. That help has enabled me to reach retirement!! Now we welcome Fr Odinaka into the Parish to continue the journey. He will bring a new energy and a renewed vision to the Parish I am sure. Having worked in the Cathedral for some years and before that at Redcliffe he will bring that experience to the Parish as well. I pray that the Holy Spirit rest on him as he takes up the ministry here.

I pray too that the Spirit may continue to inspire all in the Parish in the years ahead.

May a New Year and a New Parish Priest bring an abundance of blessings on the Parish. Hopefully 2021 by the grace of God and the dedication of so many health workers will be Covid-19 free!
