We Are Looking for a Youth Ministry Leader

Part Time Youth Ministry

Thanks to a generous grant from the Archdiocesan Catholic Foundation, St Josephs Catholic Parish Nambour is seeking applications for the part-time position of Youth Program Facilitator. The successful applicant will be responsible for facilitating and developing youth programs and activities across the parish, including:

 

* to support and encourage the growth of the faith of young people in the parish.

* to support local leaders of the Youth Group helping them to organise regular gatherings of young people.

* enable communication between young people, parents and the whole community.

* to be a point of communication with the Campus Ministers at the Catholic High Schools on the Sunshine Coast.

 

To succeed in this role, an applicant will need to be well organised, demonstrate initiative, exhibit a collaborative work style and have a strong commitment to integrating youth and young adults within the broader Church community. A current drivers licence and eligibility for a Working with Children blue card are essential. Previous experience working with young people is preferred.

Applications Close: Wednesday 20th December 2017.

Commencement Date: Monday 22nd January 2018.

Advent Liturgy and Carols

Come along and join an Advent Liturgy at the start of the Novena leading to Christmas.

A procession of light and song with readings reflecting the hoped for Saviour will take place. This will be followed by Carol singing and a shared supper.

It begins at 5.00pm on Sunday the 17th December at St Josephs Church Nambour.

Proclaim 2018

For the first time, the Brisbane Archdiocese will host the national Proclaim Conference. PROCLAIM 2018 will focus on inspiring, equipping and encouraging parishes and Catholic communities to engage in Evangelisation and Renewal. The theme of this year’s Conference is “Make your home in me” (Jn 15:4)

PROCLAIM 2018 will run across three days from 12-14 July, 2018 at The Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre (St Laurence’s College, South Brisbane).
